Mac shuts down when external hard drive is connected.

Hi,

I"m having an issue where my Mac gives me a kernal panic error and shuts down whenever I plug my external hard drive in and do something on it like saving files to a new drive. it eventually ***** down. Can someone help me read this Report so I can Identify what the issue is because I need to transfer these files to a new hard drive.
