SOLVED - change the language used by Numbers

I use a Mac set to German language, but I would like to use Numbers in English due to the confusing translation of many function names. Is there a way to tell Numbers to behave like it would on an English system?

You can change it at the file level by clicking File > Advanced > Language & Region (I'm not sure how those menu items are translated in German, though.) I just tested another language and all the Numbers functions are indeed in that language.
