Trying to set AOL as default Email

On MBP with Sonoma 14.4.1 and Apple Support suggestion makes no sense to me. Please help with how to set AOL as default, and whether App needs to be used or I can just ue AOL in my browser (Firefox) TIA.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

You can use webmail through your browser if that is what you want.

Tx for trying to help me. I should have said I am an old novice. What I want to do, if possible, is to use AOL exclusively for all Email stuff, even to the point of deleting Apple "Mail" if necessary. I'm sorry, but I didn't even understand this sentence of yours: "You can use webmail through your browser if that is what you want."
