Touch Bar does not work nor show up in Systems Settings/ Activity Monitor on MacPro Sonoma 14.4

I have a 2019 15" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar with Sonoma 14.4.1. Today the Mac restarted on its own and ever since the Touch Bar has not been working. it does not show up in the control center for the keyboard and not even in the activity monitor. Even restarting it in safe mode did not solve the issue. I tried also the commands sudo pkill TouchBarServer; sudo killall ControlStrip in Terminal but it simply says "no matching processes were found". Does anyone have any tips?
