Watch notify when out of iPhone range

Hello,

I constantly leave my phone behind at home and in public places... But I always have my watch on. My question is what are the step by step ways the have my watch notify me that my phone is out of Bluetooth range? I have an iPhone 13 and apple watch 9.

Thank you in advance.

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 10

You could set up “Notify When Left Behind”: Set up and use Notify When Left Behind in the Find My app - Apple Support.

Hello, this would work if I wanted my phone to notify me when I left my watch but I am having the opposite problem. I am leaving my phone and need my watch to notify me when it looses Bluetooth connection to my phone.

This is the exact procedure I used to have my watch notify me when the iPhone is left behind.

My experience is that I have to be about a 1/4 mile (0.4KM) away from my iPhone, before my Apple Watch will notify me that I left my iPhone behind.

It is also my experience that the notification is not immediate. The few times I left the iPhone behind, I was driving away for about 5 minutes before the notification came in. I’m not sure what the distance could have been.
