Emails I've deleted from the Mail Inbox are remaining in the Inbox

occasionally

Emails I've deleted from the Mail Inbox are remaining in the Inbox.

Sonoma > Mail>Settings>Accounts>Mailbox Behaviors. Trash Mailbox is set to Deleted Messages.
