Messages not showing on all devices

This morning on my iPad, I shared an article to two iPhone phone numbers at once. iPad 9 (iOS 16.7.7) is set to use my Apple ID email to send/receive.

Reply from one recipient came to my MacBook Pro (Sonoma 14.4.1) set to receive messages on Apple ID.

Reply did not show on my iPhone (iOS 17.4.1) set to send/receive from 3 devices: my phone #, my email, and Apple ID. On the iPhone I can only select one choice to start new conversations, so I chose my phone number.

Need all messages to show on all devices. Help!
