How to enable plant lookup on iPhone?

My iPhone 12 does not identify plants

My iPhone 12+ is running iOS 16, and the Info Window for a flower looks like this:

It has a "Look up" for the plant.


By the way, the caption was added on my Mac-- I used Google Images to find the name and went to Google for the info. I really know nothing about plants...


What do you see? Do you see the leaf symbol at the center when you have the info window open?

This doesn't work with every plant, and mine doesn't seem to recognize Rhinos or deer. But it's cool when it works.


What have you done with settings, and such. I'm not sure we can be of much help without more information, but you should look here:
