File search function not showing files available in downloads

I open my downloads folder and go to search it, inputting the name of a file I know is present. The search result is no files found, however when I click to search 'This Mac', the file immediately appears, and oddly, once clicking it once, the pathway shows the file to be located in the downloads folder, despite finder telling me it was not found there.

How fix?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.4

You can submit your Apple Feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

if it was a cache issue, I would simple ignore the anomaly.

You can always rebuild the Spotlight database, no harm there.
