How do I remove Activation Lock on an older iPhone?
I have an old 7 and I've removed it from my "FindMy" prior to restarting it, yet it is still locked to my iCloud account, how do I get rid of it? thanks !

Follow these instructions to reset the phone back to factory defaults, even though you will be keeping the phone.

If all else fails, you will have to submit an unlock request to Apple.
start an Activation Lock support request.
