Edit button on YAHOO MAIL APP on newer ipads.

My wife just bought a new ipad mini and installed the YAHOO MAIL APP. I have seen questions, posted a year ago, as to how to find the 'EDIT' button and it's sub functions of 'delete/archive/move/mark as read' etc.

Here is what I discovered.

If you are looking at the screen which has the left pane showing your individual emails preview pane on the left, you should see and 'X' next to ''0 selected'. Clicking that X brings up the 'EDIT' button.

That is a toggle type function... click once to get the edit button/click again to get at the icons for deleting/archiving/moving/marking as read' selected emails.

Instead of using the Yahoo Mail App, have you considered simply using your Yahoo email account with the iPad's native Mail App?

Add an email account - Apple Support

Be aware that some email providers now require the use of App Specific Passwords when accessing mail over IMAP or POP3. If this applies to your email account, you will need to generate a unique password for your iPad email account - that will differ from your normal Account Password. As examples - AOL, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft all use App Specific Passwords when using anything other than their own email client Apps.

If you need to generate an App Specific Password, you’ll need to log-in to your Mail Providers account management webpage - using a web browser - and generate the Password from the appropriate account security page.
