Sender scrambled in gmail in Mail

Hi,

we use google Workgroups.

On our iOS and macOS Mail clients emails come in with scambled CC addresses.

When I access the same email in gmail in a browser, the senders appear just fine.

In macOS Mail v16.0, latest, the senders look like this

whereas in GMAIL the are just fine.

So it is our email Client the scrambles something up.

I found some old threads with this question but no solution.
