is the apple smart folio iPad pro 11 inch 6th generation compatible with the 7th generation iPad pro?

There is no seventh generation 11” iPad Pro. And there is no sixth generation either. That model is now on its fifth generation.

There is a seventh generation 12.9” iPad Pro.

If you mean the 11” model, its Smart Folio is not compatible with any other models, so the reverse is almost certainly true.

Folio cases designed for earlier models of iPad and iPad Pro are not compatible with the new iPad Pro M4. The fixing magnets are positioned in different locations.

The new 2024 models of iPad Pro and Air have different physical dimensions to earlier models. As such, model-specific accessories intended for older models of iPad will not be compatible with the new devices.
