how to save downloaded video to my Photos gallery?

I tried to move video file from PC to iPhone with cable and iTunes, but it was impossible. There was no apps to take care of this function. So I uploaded the video to wetransfer, and then downloaded it to my iPhone. Now the file is there, but I cannot save it to my Photos gallery, so that I could use it on the video editor (YouCut). How can I move/save the file so that I could start to work with it? This was so simple with Android phone, but with iPhone everything is very complicated (and I wonder why... why why)

iPhone 12, iOS 17

In Files app (Files can mount an SMB share on your PC, too) press and hold on the mp4 (or some other supported video container format) and select Share, and select Save Video from the pop-up. It’s now in Photos by way of the camera roll.

Related: There are two general ways to maintain a library of photos and videos. The first uses iCloud, while the second keeps the library local on a PC or Mac and uses cable sync ro transfer from camera roll to library and from library to Photos.
