Phone backup is gone

I am in total disbelief right now.

I chose Apple because it’s data protection and security

I am a paying member of iCloud services

And with all that, my last backup to iCoud was deleted by Apple because it had been more than 180 days since that particular phone connected to iCloud and backed up again.

I no longer have that phone, how could I it up.

It's last backup was there on my iCloud last time I checked.

Apple didn’t even gave me a heads up warning, they just deleted my data without telling me, even when am paying them to store my backups.

What is the point of having a backup on iCloud if you are going to need to keep your own backup storage locally.

This is all so surreal to me right now.

Apple you just lost one loyal customer.

I am returning this iPhone 15 I got today, am selling all my Apple products and I will never again purchase anything Apple.
