search on iPhone safari brings up google warning unusual traffic

This started a few weeks ago on iPhone 12. IoS is up to date, router has been reset, phone restarted, cache cleared, website date and history cleared. It happens on home wifi and friends' wifi, I have to confirm I'm not a robot and do the Captcha thing. It's happening several times a day now.

"Unusual traffic" "Unusual traffic" sometimes on normal Safari, sometimes over HandOff and most of the time on private browsing. I already did multiple virus scans (Using BOTH Malwarebytes and CleanMyMacX) so I think I should be safe; but why is this happening?? Anyone else also experiencing this?

Meris DDoS Botnet issue Iphone safari searches getting error message. Hi. I have been having issues when using Safari’s search on my iphone. I keep getting a pop-up with the "I'm not a robot" box and then text that starts with "we have detected that your router/modem may be compromised and part of the Meris DDos botnet, or you are using a proxy associated with past Meris attacks...," it goes on to list an IP address that does not have the same first digits as my computer and router, Has anyone had this happen know what is causing it? called the company that provides my internet service that provided the router and they say it's my phone not the router/modem because it does not happen on my home computer.

safari on ipad redirects to a dangerous website I’m trying to research methods of travel in the south of France. While using Safari on my iPad yesterday I had a pop up message on one French travel website saying I had a virus. I didn’t really believe it but shut down Safari and cleared cache and history and restarted my iPad just in case. I also subscribe to Norton 360 on my PC so decided to install it on my iPad iPad too. Today I tried to log on to but was redirected to a site that Norton flagged up as dangerous. I closed the tab and cleared cache and history again and restarted my iPad but I still get redirected to the same site every time I try the bateauxsaintraphael website. I’m beginning to wonder if I do have a virus on my iPad (or in Safari) or is it a problem with the bateauxsaintraphael website? I’d be grateful for any advice. [Link Edited by Moderator]

This is happening to me aswell. It is supposed to be beacause of iCloud Private Relay. Do you have that turned on?

I changed to Bing as search provider.

Yes I’ve got Private Relay turned on. I might give Bing a try. Google also keeps nagging me to sign into google but I choose to stay signed out.

That is what Google does. You do have other choices.
