Safari doesn’t connect to the internet

let me begin with my phone is updated to latest iOS. Since yesterday safari keeps giving me the message “safari can’t open the page because the network connection was lost”

any page or search I do, while on WiFi and sometimes but not all the time on my cellular data even though I am able to use WiFi normally on chrome and all my other apps but safari for some reason won’t connect.

things I did:

cleared the cache

restarted my phone

put phone on airplane mode and out of airplane mode (safari works for one or two pages then stops)

same internet settings I have been using for the past year same router same internet supplier.

how do I fix this? Safari is my go to browser

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17
