Does anyone got the refund from Duolingo?

I know you can request it but has anyone actually gotten it? The Duolingo said "cancel anytime with no commitment" and then I was charged $87 because I forgot to cancel it at the end of the time period because I have too much on my plate and it skipped my mind. I know you have to cancel it in order to request a refund but what if you aren't given a refund?
