I want to move my itunes library from one user id to another on same iMac. Both use the same Apple ID for iTunes.

I'm trying to move all my iTunes Music Library that is stored under my wife's user ID on a shared iMac to my user ID (and my association my iTunes Music Library. All of the music in her library was purchased under my Apple ID - so that won't be changing - but I need some help in what steps need to be taken (and in what order) to accomplish this. Thank you in advance.

iMac 27″, macOS 14.4

I should have explained - what I would like to end up with is the entire music library from user #1 merged into the music library for user #2. User #1 will end up with an empty music library (it will no longer be maintained or need access from user #1), and user #2 will have everything. Again, this is on the same iMac. Thank you! (and sorry for any confusion).

Drag the folder containing it to /Users/Shared/ and then your home folder, launch Music with the Option key held down, and choose that library.
