Hi, I'm currently running Logic Pro X 10.8.1 on macOS Sonoma14.4.1 on a Mac Studio. I'm trying to update to Logic Pro 11 that is supposed to be available now. (May 13, 2024). This update is not show up in the app store. I have tried the key command (Command + R) with no positive result. I have also tried the old tried and true reboot/restart. Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Well, that was totally too simple...the only other thing I needed to do in the App Store was to click on the screenshot of Logic to advance to the preview, and there was the "Update" button. Downloading some packages now...

Open the App Store and search for "Logic Pro." The App Store will find it, but it will probably just show an "Open" button. Instead of clicking on the "Open" button, click on the image. You should see an "Update" button to click on after you click on the image. If you don't see an "Update" button, I cannot help beyond this point.

So the Logic Pro 11 update does not show in the ap store for me. And according to a YouTube video, if you have a 2019 MacBook with Intel processor the update will not be available to you. Can anyone confirm this?
I'm running Sonoma 14.5 and it still does not show as updatable in the app center.
According to this video, Logic Pro 11 is not able to be updated due to having an intel Processor in 2019 Mac books.
I don't think that's a particularly useful reply to question asked by the author of this thread. It would be expected of Apple to at least provide a general idea of release timing. Especially so given the official website implies version 11 is the software version being purchased, not a point release of version 10.
It's not a question of patience. It's simply expecting that what we've been told is something we can expect to be true, i.e. (quoting from Apple):
"Logic Pro for Mac 11 will be available on the App Store starting Monday, May 13."
And, let's face it, the release notes are tantalizing and we're anxious!

I have logic pro X 7.9 but I do not see the "Download" button for 11.0 in the apple store, only "Open" In fact I never saw the previous 8. updates, I'm wondering if there is a setting I need to change??
Just be patient. Logic Pro has not yet been released.
If you have Logic Pro X installed, when you go to Logic Pro in the App Store it now shows "Update" as being available. I just began downloading the update a few minutes ago.

I also have Logic Pro 10.8.1 running Sonoma. Just looked at the App Store and searched for Logic Pro ...it simply has an "OPEN" button. Suppose it has a staggered release of some sort?
You need to have at least MacOS 13.5 to install Logic 11. I'm pretty sure a 2019 MacBook can install that operating system if there is enough hard drive space.
Logic Pro 11 does not appear in my Applications list. Logic Pro X says Open and there is no update
