Macbook air battery charge externally

Hi, as my macbook air 2015 model, has pretty much come to the end of its life due to costing more to repair than its worth, keyboard faults, battery soon needing replacement, last thing that has happened is the battery won't charge, no lights come on when connecting magsafe, we have tried various different chargers r and no luck, done charging systems reset and still nothing so right now we are just trying to recover data. My question is this, is there a way to charge the battery for one last time be it externally, removing it and charging or some other way so we can make it the laptop run for say half an hour to get everything off it, we have tried to charge via adsl port with no luck. Any ideas?
