2nd Gen AirPods Microphone Cutting In and Out

My microphone in my right airpod has been dead for a while but the speaker still works. I have still been using them by utilizing the microphone in the left airpod. They have been fine, no issues, until about 2 weeks ago. People were telling me that that they could not hear me on phone calls. I could hear them just fine though. So I used the voice memo app and recorded me talking. It seems to record audio for about 1-2 seconds and then gets muffled, then it cuts out altogether. Then again later in the same recording it'll do the same thing.

I have disconnected and reconnected my airpods.

I have the current airpods firmware.

I have the current iPhone software for my phone.

I don't know what else to do. Please help.
