Logic Pro not detecting the instrument channel of my scarlett solo interface
I've been recording guitar in Logic Pro X without any issues until today, using my usual setup. However, it suddenly stopped picking up the guitar signal. My setup includes a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface, a Pod Go, and PreSonus Eris E3.5 Monitors directly plugged into the back of the Scarlett Solo.
I'm confident the guitar signal is fine because I can hear it coming out of the monitors. Additionally, my MacBook recognizes the Scarlett Solo as an audio interface, as I can select it as the output device for the Mac, which I did.
I've ensured that I selected the Scarlett Solo as both the input and output device within Logic Pro. I went to settings/audio and made sure the Scarlett Solo was selected. In the track where I'm trying to record, I've also made sure that input 2 of the Scarlett Solo is selected.
Interestingly, I can record without issues in Logic Pro if I use the microphone channel of the Scarlett Solo. However, in the same track, if I just change to the guitar channel (input 2), I keep hearing the microphone input (when both the microphone and the guitar are connected). If I disconnect the microphone, I get no input at all in the track, though I can still hear the guitar just fine in the monitors.
To clarify further, I hear the guitar in the monitors that are connected to the Scarlett Solo, but I don't see a signal in the Logic Pro track, and thus can't record any audio from it. I can also see the green light in the scarlett whenever I play the guitar.
Furthermore, using the exact same setup, I can open GarageBand and record with no problems, both guitar and microphone input. At one point, I had both programs open at the same time just to check, and everything worked fine in GarageBand, but not in Logic Pro, at least for the guitar.
Initially, I thought it might be due to outdated drivers, but the Scarlett model is supposed to be a class-compliant device, meaning you don't need to install anything to use it on a Mac.
Considering the release of Logic Pro 11 today, I thought updating might resolve the issue, but unfortunately, it didn't.
I've also made sure to enable recording in the track. I'm at a loss for what else to try. Logic records fine if I use the microphone channel, ruling out an issue with the interface since both channels work fine in GarageBand.
I've checked all the settings in Logic related to the issue, as far as I know, such as selecting the Scarlett as the input device, ensuring the guitar channel is selected in the track, enabling recording for the track, and updating to the latest version. My MacBook is also up to date. Tried changing cables and USB adapters for the interface, but nothing worked.
I'm not sure what I'm missing here.
