Extremely slow Sonoma 14.5 update

I'm having difficulty downloading the Sonoma 14.5 update. I've been in the process of downloading for 8 hrs and have downloaded 1.5 GB our of 2.43 GB. The download is intermittent. It shows progress and then it stops. I haven't watched it long enough to measure how long it stops for. I have a wireless internet provider and generally have between 15 to 23 Mbps. I've done previous downloads without a problem. I'm wondering if this experience is telling me that my laptop is not capable of handling Sonoma 14.5. I certainly hope not as I purchased it in July 2021 which makes it relatively new in my world. This is my 3rd time initiating the download and I restarted my laptop between the 2nd and 3rd Initiation of the download.

Any suggestions on what might be my problem? My Macbook Air has the Apple Chip M1 and is currently on Sonoma 14.4.1.
