What is the irritating Blue icon with a capital I crossed thru that appears when I type?

Just taken ownership of a 2020 Macbook Air. When I start to type a Blue square icon appears. It has a capital I in the middle of it which is struck through. As per pictures I've just taken of this screen. What is it?
