WeChat has Login with Apple but no Hide My Email option

The app WeChat shows a Login with Apple button. But when you press that button you ONLY get the option to use your iCloud email address, the Hide My Email option (which is in use on my phone) does not appear. Since WeChat supports Login with Apple shouldn't they be required to support Hide My Email?
