Question about downloading youtube videos on my iPhone

I came across a couple of tech videos about reinstalling OS X El Capitan on YouTube. I contact the author and they allow me to download it for offline view. I am currently in the situation of repairing an old Mac Mini. How can I download those YouTube videos on my iPhone? There is no download option when I watch the videos in a browser and YouTube app. What suppose to do?

The easiest, fastest and safest method is to record the screen.

There is a download option in the YouTube app on the iPhone. Open the YouTube app on your iPhone and begin playing the video that interests you. DO NOT expand the video and DO NOT turn your iPhone in landscape mode. You will see the DOWNLOAD option under the video while it is a playing in the app in portrait mode.

One to note and that is that YouTube will require you to purchase the Premium subscription for the ability to download videos. This is something that YouTube (Google) controls and not Apple.
