Photo turning upside down while sharing on whatsapp

iPhones tend to capture photos in HEIC format by default, which is a newer, space-saving format. However, some apps,including older versions of WhatsApp, might not interpret the orientation data correctly for HEIC images.

Solution:

• There are two approaches here:
  • Switch your camera to capture photos in JPG format, which is universally compatible. Go to Settings > Camera > Formats and choose "Most Compatible".
  • Update WhatsApp to the latest version. Newer versions are more likely to handle HEIC images correctly.
