Searching not working in Mail app

Hi,


I'm having issues with searching for emails (search does not work at all) and browsing flagged mails (nothing is shown on the list or view from different folder is shown) in Mail app. I've tried every suggested solution (resetting Spotlight, removing and re-adding mail account, re-indexing mailbox, ...) but nothing helped. The strangest thing is that I can make it work but with a trick (temporary solution until reboot):

  • open System Settings
  • go to General > Login items
  • select item that requires password
  • enter old (not working password)

After short while search is working and I can browse flagged emails. When I enter correct password the trick doesn't work.


My computer is connected to Windows domain and my local user account is mobile account. The old password that I have to enter is my old domain password. Is there anything that I can do to make searching work without the trick I described?
