Factory restarting SE 2nd generation watch

Apple logo appears but it disappears within seconds and goes to dark and isn't resetting. The watch is on the charger next to the iphone which is also charging - both over minimum battery %. Another attempt method, I tried to unpair the watch from the phone through the watch app. It requires an upgrade which won't complete because it won't connect to the watch.

How do I get it to perform the factory reset with these issues?

How to erase your Apple Watch if you don't have your iPhone

  1. On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.

  2. Type your password if prompted.
  3. For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan.
    • If you want to pair your Apple Watch and iPhone again, keep your plan.
    • If you don't want to pair your Apple Watch and iPhone again, remove your plan. If you aren't going to pair with a different watch or iPhone, you might need to contact your carrier to cancel your cellular subscription.
  1. Tap Erase All to confirm. This resets your Apple Watch to the factory settings.

Now you can set up your Apple Watch again. You'll need the Apple ID and password associated with the watch turn off Activation Lock.

Hi, Thank you for responding so quickly. Unfortunately, I have a black screen on my watch. When I try the factory reset, the apple logo appears for a few seconds but then disappears again and returns back to the black screen.

Are we to assume the iWatch was or is connected to the Charging Cable and receiving electrical power.

Doing a Factory Reset is always wise to done this way.

Much as it is also suggested when doing a software update

Should none of this proves to successful
