How to manage and delete large files on Mac Pro

I have in my Hard drive a huge File with the name of MMCS almos t 500 G ! of space I am wondering what could happen to my Mac Pro if I Just delete them . Any advice?

The general procedure would be:

That file is likely "in use" and can not just be deleted.

navigate to that file and drag it to the Trash.

Restart your Mac.

-- if not OK, MacOS will demand you put it back.
