Game Center wants me to “get started” but I’ve got an account already?

Game Center wants me to “get started” but I’ve got an account already?

I’ve got a game centre account, I know the username and can confirm it as see it for a split second when I load games, but game centre asks me to get started, how do I just sign in? There seems to be no way around this? Thank you

edit: I am using the same Apple ID I’ve always used

Struggled with this for hours but managed to fix this by going on airplane mode, going to game centre in settings, signing out of a random account, turning off airplane mode, back onto game centre in settings, and my account was just there, and when loading into my games all my old saves were there :)
