Apple TV: Apple TV Update. The update was not successful.

I've tried multiple times to update to TVOS 17.5.

I've restarted and hard restarted.

tvOS 17 Not Installing on Apple TV (A1842 - 32GB) I currently have the Apple TV (A1842) - 32 GB version. I have tried several attempts ant updating from tvOS 16.6 (20M73) to tvOS 17.0 (21J354) and the same routine is happening. I go into Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software. The system identifies that Apple TV Update 17.0 (21J354) is available, so I click on “Download and Install.” The system downloads the software in about a minute. The system moves into the “Step 1 of 2 Preparing Update” screen and takes 8 minutes and 35 seconds to complete that step. The system reboots and “Step 2 of 2 Applying Update” begins. After just 21 seconds the system just reboots and when it loads, it is still in tvOS 16.6. I have no idea what is happening and why it will not update to 17.0.

It is June 2023. My Apple TV HD won't update past tvOS 16.3.2, to 16.5 It is June 2023. My Apple TV HD won't update past tvOS 16.3.2, to 16.5 despite repeated automatic and manual downloads, restarting, unplugging and rebooting, and even resetting. Now what do I do?

If updating is not successful, despite no interruptions, then please contact the Apple Support staff for further assistance.
