Phone calls defaulting to Apple watch

When my phone rings even though it rings on both it only allows me to answer my watch? This means no privacy as everyone can hear both sides of the conversation.

It's an iPhone 14 Prom Max and a Series 7 watch if this makes any difference on advice?
