I am running mail application on a Mac Pro and iPad, when I received an email it shows up on Mac Pro and iPad:-

1. if i read it on my iPad, the notice sign on Mac Pro will disappear

2. but if i read it on my Mac Pro, the notice sign on iPad will still be there until i click and read the mail on my iPad

Is it normal?

Thank you

I just verified it and for me it works. I have found that on my iPad it worked just perfect and on the iPhone 4 it woks as well, but the mail initially (when I opened mail) was marked as unread, but a second later it was marked as read.

Try this:
• Turn the iPad off and on again (hold the sleep/wake button for about 3 seconds until a red slider appears with the label "slide to power off")

• If it din't help, try a hard reset - hold the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously for about 6 seconds, until the iPad tunes off. Then turn it on again.

• Go to "Settings - General - Reset" and choose "Reset All Settings"

• Remove the mail account and set it up new.

• If it does not help, restore the firmware with iTunes - IMPORTANT, don't let iTunes use one of your backups… set it up as a new device.
