When can I see my Apple Watch was last charged?

You can’t see this all the time. Say I’ve charged it can’t always see when last charged.

I took my watch off charge two hours ago and it says that on the screen.
I just checked that on my old Apple Watch 5, took it from the charger and it shows date and time for the last time it has been charged to 100%
Under which circumstances can't you see this data on your watch?
Did you already update to the latest watchOS 10.5?
