I am trying to update my software but have forgotten my user name and password.

Forgot Admin User Name I was causally making SETTINGS changes and selected LOGIN fields NAME and PASSWORD. When I rebooted I realized I had forgotten my username (which is also the only ADMIN account). I know the password, but it wants me to type in my USER NAME first, which I forgot. Is there a workaround? I tried Recovery mode, but it still wants me to type the USER NAME.
