Have late model Samsung TV and xfinity service. Samsung has problems with Xfinity App. Will the AppleTV allow streaming of Xfinity services to my TV to bypass the Samsung smart TV system which is problematic?

The Xfinity Stream app does show it is available for the Apple TV set top box. That would work to bypass the Xfinity app on your TV, but you are still constrained by the quality of the app that Xfinity provides. I have not heard about the experience of other users who have tried the app.
It would be ideal if you could login to Xfinity using the Apple TV app on your TV like you can with Max, Paramount+, etc, but currently that is not possible.

Got an Apple TV and plugged into my Samsung TV - works great and solved Xfinity (Comcast) scramble and slow access. Thanks for posted advice!
If that isn’t available in the Apple TV AppStore there is not way to download it
