later yesterday I went on a video call with my brother & I did an airplay on my TV so my parents could see & the touchbar was not displaying anything. I thought nothing of it, I thought it was something to do with airplay. now today & i just updated my mac the inputs still work i can change the volume still with the touchbar but it looks really strange & i would like it to go back to normal.

On an Intel mac
Try resetting the System Management Controller Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support
Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NVRAM Reset)
if no resolve it typically indicates a hardware failure—
In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment
Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"
