MACMAIL V10 is an absolute nightmare - need to find a way to revert mail client to V3 in all future updates

Absolutely HATE the macmail V10 update in big sur. So many conveniences that were available in 10.11.16 are gone. The icons are greyed out, the column layout is abysmal, the search engine does not function, way too many additional steps are now required to do the same job the V3 did with ease..

WHY would apple change what worked perfectly for so many and make a great mail system user unfriendly? The is an old adage that comes to mind here "If it ain't broke - don't fix it"!

Has anyone figured out a way to remove V10 from big sure and revert the mail system back to V3? There should be either an option or a way to revert the mail system back to what is loved by so many, without affecting the integrity of the security changes needed in big sur to make it safer.

Are there ANY apple programmers out there or developers that can come up with a way to make this happen and still function on any future updates?

There is no provision in any macOS operating system to revert its Mail architecture to a year's older Mail client and V-series Mail folder. Your quest of reverting to V3 from V10 simply cannot work.

Apple can change anything it chooses in the operating system without consulting with end users because it retains ownership and only licenses it to users. Apple is about change, not stasis.

Fully understand that, but have also seen developers find workarounds through program changes that allow end users the ability to change or tweak the programs in a way that what was considered impossible can be made possible.

In researching the information available on the web, have seen a lot of changes made that were considered unlikely happen. Just threw this out there to see if anyone may be considering it or working on it.

I can provide you with a screenshot but I am sure you are already aware of the many quality issues with V10. The main complaint is the layout which removed all of the icons that were clearly visible and are greyed out, the ease in which one could navigate and use the icons is all but gone requiring additional steps to complete tasks instead of less.

The column layout while close is still a galaxy apart from the classic layout that so many love. Clents are leaving mac because of this and reverting to windows - since mac requires not only upgrades but oft times a whole ne omputer to meet the upgrade requirements. It is no longer about the cusomer it is about the reveune and many are feeling it.

the issue is not a change from 11 to 12 OS- the issue we are dealing with is the complete removal of the classic view in macmail - since your system was already well past the classic view - you may not be aware of it. Everything in the classic view was 100% fully functional and flawless - in form and ease of use.

The (so-called ) update was from many, is seen as a monumental leap backwards with so many issues being reported and problems that make the entire use a nightmare. You are (more than likely) used to using what you know and see not problem a bulk majority of mac users from the 10.6 era (of which there are many) became familiar with the system, is ease of use, functionality and seamless operation and find the new system to be less than user friendly.

One can only judge what they know based on what they use - sorry you missed a great mail client version - you'd definitely think otherwise if you had.

We can do that, however, mail service providers work in conjunction with a systems OS to assure there is a seamless handshake between the OS and the mail client. When an OS is upgraded it blocks protocols needed to support their mail system forcing them to abandon clientele who would otherwise be able to use their mail provider.

The entire issue is in dealing with mac users that have a very long history of using a mac and a bulk majority that are not techies and want to continue to use what they know and what they are familiar with. In researching the problems encountered from the upgrade there is a whole host of end users who are not happy

Actually it's new Security demands of the eMail Protocol itself that are changing eMail rules, leaving older versions of Mail, or even older OSes behind.
