Remove Name From Group Message

If this is a group message that contains any SMS/MMS (non-iPhone) users you cannot remove any participants (or add any). This is a limitation of the SMS/MMS protocol and is beyond Apple’s ability to control.

Hello crowekuzik, In messages open a group message and then click on the "Contact Picture Area" at the top middle of screen > Scroll down to the area that shows the number of people in the group and click to expand. Choose the person you want to remove by sliding contact name to the left and the Remove option will show up on the right and then click on Remove.
