How to set a dowloaded song from Apple Music as a ringtone?

I have Apple Music, and it shows “ringtones” but I have no idea how to make the songs I have downloaded into an actual ringtone.

That is not possible on an iPhone. Ringtones must be separately purchased and downloaded.

If you happen to own a Mac, you may be able to use GarageBand on your Mac to create ringtones from music. (Of course, you must have purchased the music - you cannot do this to Apple Music.)

Download GarageBand for iPhone then export the song you want to use as a ringtone to GarageBand.

After you export it, exit out so you can see all files. This usually looks like a page icon. Then, hold down the song with the ringtone in it and press share. Then three options should come up. Out of these three, press ringtone. And then you should have a ringtone.

To enable it, go to

settings>sounds>Ringtone

and scroll to the top. The name of your ringtone/song should be there
