Apple Watch Series 7 ECG not working

Apple Watch Series 7 and iPhone 13 Pro MAX both up to date on software.

The ECG suddenly stopped working, no specific activity (swimming, etc) or dropping had happened.

The ECG app will start, finger on CLEAN sensor, app starts to read for few seconds very jumpy like you are still then keeps restarting test.

Things I've Done: 1. Unpair Watch, 2. Reset Watch, Turn Watch OFF, 3. Delete ECG APP from iPhone, 4. Soft and Hard Re-Boot iPhone, 5. Re-Install ECG APP, 6. Re-boot iPhone, 7. Turn Watch ON and PAIR to iPhone.

Reset Watch and paired with my iPhone Xs Max 52-12GB, still exact same issue, seems like a Watch crown issue as the software for my Series 7 Watch is same as my Apple Watch Series 8, Series 8 works perfect with either phone.

Still Same Issue.

It's like If you test HR or O2 (which test fine) and your not still yet I am completely still, sensor (crown end) cleaned (watch wiped down with alcohol lens wipes) and still same (App starts, finger on sensor, lines jumpy for few seconds then test tries to restart doing same thing and eventually stops with the hold still message.

I've seen many questions of this happening when I did a basic search but no answer to my knowledge.

Watch and iPhone are out of Warranty.

Mine does it too, as did my old watch 6. Works fine on someone else’s wrist, but makes no difference if I move it off mine where there are tattoos underneath. The cynical side of me says that Apple does these ‘faults’ to make you buy the latest hardware but I’ll be ****** if I’m laying out £500 for a new watch every two/three years. Jokes on you Apple, I’ll not be buying another Apple Watch until you can work out how to make them work for A, more than two years and B, with tattoos.
