My iPhone 6s Touch ID setup isn’t working I want fix it

You can try and Force restart iPhone 6s

Press and hold both the Volume Down button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. Continue to hold those buttons until the Apple logo appears, release both buttons. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 


If the above does not work or resolve the issue, then note that the iPhone 6s is about 8 years old. The Touch ID module has probably failed and thus indicating that it is a hardware issue. Apple does not support that model anymore. The repair will cost more than the value of the iPhone 6s. I recommend that you purchase a newer model iPhone to use.
