No Success?

What else to try...

A. Try This - Disable then Enable Cameara:

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: Screen Time
3. Tap: Content & Privacy Restrictions
4. Enter: Keycode
5. Tap: Allowed Apps
6. Tap: Camera (So it is Green-Colored)

B. Restart iPhone:

C. Are you Using a Case?

Make sure that the back camera is not covered(somewhat) - For note: the microphone part is located between the lens and the flash. So, make sure all is not covered.

D. Update your iPhone:

Make sure that you're selected the back camera(s).

The phone gets to 0.5x by switching from its Main (Wide) back camera to an Ultra-Wide back camera. But on the front side of the phone, the side normally facing you, there is only one camera. Assuming that the 1.0x setting for the front camera corresponds to its native focal length / resolution, there is no way for the phone to go out to 0.5x.
