Error 100083 while copy Parallels vm files to external drive

Hi, on my Mac Book Pro (Mid 2014) with macOS Big Sur 11.7.10 installed I use Parallels Desktop 18 for Windows virtualization. To backup the vm files (*.pvm) i use an external ssd drive. This has worked well in the past. Copying the vm files to another location on the local hard drive works fine.

For a few months now I've been getting the error message "The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 100083)." during the copying process.

The Parallels support said it is an Apple problem.

Has anyone had a similar problem? If so, how was it resolved?

Does anyone know more details about the problem or how to find a solution?

Thanks in advance...
