iPad 12.9 inch won’t turn on even after charging. I REALLY don’t want to have to buy a new one

I went to go use my iPad after knowing it had been charging for hours so it should have full battery, however it wont turn on. It doesn’t even show that it needs to be charged, the screen just stays completely black. I still tried to see if it was the charging cable but every charger cable I tried hasn’t helped but they work for other devices just not my IPad 12.9 inch. I tried to force a restart like it says online but that didn’t work either screen stayed black.

What really sucks is this IPad is new, I haven’t even owned it for a complete 2 months (will be 2 months on May 30th) and I have all my art and pictures of my older art on that iPad. I really don’t want to have to buy a new one and loose everything that’s on that iPad cause I know I didn’t have enough iCloud storage to store all my pictures. Is there anything else I can do? Will Apple be able to repair this? If they can I will do it cause it’s probably cheaper than a whole new iPad and I’ll still have my stuff.

So should I just try and see if apple can repair it or is there something else I should try first?

iPad mini 4, iPadOS 15

Hopefully, if your work is important, you will have enabled iCloud backup - or will have been regularly performing a manual backup to a Windows PC or Mac computer. Disasters can happen at any time - and should they occur, you'll need this backup to recover your data.

If the iPad cannot restart to a running state, all locally stored data will remain beyond reach. iPad uses an encrypted filesystem - the encryption keys to access your data being securely stored within the Secure Enclave (i.e., the iPad's security chip). Without the encryption keys, unlocked by the device Passcode, locally stored data cannot be accessed by anyone.

If your iPad is unresponsive, connect your iPad to its Power Adapter and allow the iPad to charge undisturbed for at least and hour. Then, while still connected to external power, try a forced-restart:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

If iPad still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen. Or if your iPad isn’t working correctly after you restart it, see the iPad Support website.

If you continue to experience difficulties, you might be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:

Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

Should your iPad require repair, in lieu of repairing and returning your own iPad, Apple usually exchange the iPad for a renewed/refurbished iPad of the same model and specification. As Apple will not be able to recover any data from a defective iPad, you will need to restore your data from your backup; if you don't have a backup, your data will be irretrievably lost.
