The Apple ID I used to pay for a year subscription to AppleTV is using a phone number I intend to get ride of. (My mistake using this id). Can I move my AppleTV subscription to another AppleID? What's the best way to handle this? Thanks,
You cannot transfer subscriptions to another Apple ID, but you can change your Apple ID email to a different email address that has not been used for an Apple ID. This will keep all of your purchases and subscriptions. Since you are unable to merge 2 Apple ID's, the new email address cannot be one that has been used for an Apple ID previously.

Nope. Subscriptions are tied to one Apple ID. You would need to cancel it on the current ID and start it on the other one.

and what's the issue with this? The existence of functionality of an Apple ID is not dependent on an associated phone number.
If you are using the number as the identifier for the Apple ID, you can change it.
