Iphone thieft claim

I purchased Iphone 15 Pro from airport and boarded plane. On arrival at home opened the bag to use phone but found that some one steal phone in plane from my bag while I was not attentive or asleep. I reported police as well as airliner but not clue. Can I get the claim from Iphone (one year cover is there) while having phone not yet used. On web I see that claim can be filled but it requires that find my phone should be active but in my case I had even not touched the phone waiting to reach home. Any one can guide.
