Since updating to 17.x, when I click "Home", then press down to my "Up next" and then over one or two the whole screen pops up to big preview thing at the top. It wasn't like that before. Is there any way to downgrade or any fix? (This is on a 2022 model and also on a new 4k.)

If we’re talking about the same thing, then no, this new look and functionality can’t be changed. The Apple TV app behaves as Apple wants it to be, without configuration for that part.
